I have to say, if a medley of music used at 5.30 in the morning is considered part of Britain's fabric, there's less to the nation than I thought.
I thought that would spike your temper!
I have to admit I'm partly joking. It's not going to bring the country to a grinding standstill, but I do feel that lots of little things - often quirky things - like this do help make up the slender strands which bind together a national identity. For that reason it would be sad if it went. And I like it.
